Having completed courses at the prestigious Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), our mountaineer is equipped with the necessary skills and expertise to handle any situation that may arise during his expeditions. Laxman’s journey into the world of adventure began with the skies. He took his first leap into the boundless expanse above in 2015 with preliminary paragliding training from the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB). Undeterred by the challenges, he mastered the art, progressing through P1 to P4 paragliding courses in 2023. His passion for the skies reached new heights when he showcased his skills at the Tehri Acro Festival in the same year.
Land, too, held a magnetic pull for Laxman. In 2018, he earned the title of Trek Leader and acquired Wilderness First Aid skills through a course offered by UTDB. His grit and determination shone as he pedaled through the mountains, participating in the MTB events organized by both UTDB and the District Administration. Notable among them was the Tour De Kailash MTB event in 2022 and yet another participation in MTB 2023.
Water couldn’t confine his spirit either. Laxman navigated the exhilarating White Water River Rafting in 2016, a testament to his versatility in conquering different terrains.
