The Nanda Devi Peak comprises two distinct summits – Nanda Devi East (7,434 m) and Nanda Devi West (7,816 m). Our Nanda Devi East Base Camp Trek provides a unique opportunity to witness the unparalleled beauty of these magnificent peaks up close.

Nanda Devi Base Camp Trek Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Munsyari (2290 M) Arrive in Munsyari in the evening. We arrange hotel stay and dinner on a twin or triple sharing basis. Hotel details and contact information will be provided before the departure date.

Day 2: Munsiyari to Lilam (2000 M) - 7 Kms Trek, 2-3 Hours Begin with a taxi ride to Selapani, the last road head. The trek involves a steep descent to Gori Ganga River, crossing the bridge at "Jimighat," and a gradual ascent to Lilam Village, offering beautiful views. Overnight stay in camps.

Day 3: Lilam to Bugdiyar (2700 M) - 13 Kms, 6-7 Hours Trek parallel to the river through bamboo thickets and conifer trees. Pass by Radgari and reach Bugdyar, a picturesque camping site with a memorial commemorating the 1989 avalanche victims. Overnight stay in camps.

Day 4: Bugdiyar to Rilkot (3200 M) - 15 Kms, 7-8 Hours Cross the river bridge, traverse a steep climb, and walk along the river to reach the scenic Rilkot by late afternoon. Enjoy camping amidst the breathtaking surroundings.

Day 5: Rilkot to Ghangar (3300 M) - 12 Kms, 6-7 Hours Ascend above the tree line, passing through the arid region. Explore deserted villages until reaching Ghangar, a charming village with Johari houses and stunning views of Burphu Peak. Overnight camping.

Day 6: Ghangar to Nanda Devi East Base Camp (3900 M) - 7 Kms, 3-4 Hours Climb steadily into the Pachhu Valley, surrounded by rhododendron and birch trees. Marvel at the North face of Nanda Devi East above the Pachhu glacier. Relax at the beautiful alpine meadows near the foot of Nanda Devi. Overnight camping.

Day 7: Nanda Devi East Base Camp A day for rest and exploration of the surroundings. Capture the beauty of this spectacular place, and photographers can make the most of this day.

Day 8: Nanda Devi East Base Camp to Rilkot - 19 Kms, 7-8 Hours Trek back from Base Camp to Rilkot following the same scenic route. Overnight camping.

Day 9: Rilkot to Bugdyar - 15 Kms, 6-7 Hours Retrace your steps from Rilkot to Bugdyar, enjoying familiar landscapes. Overnight camping.

Day 10: Bugdyar to Munsyari - 20 Kms, 7-8 Hours Conclude the trek with a return from Bugdyar to Munsyari. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Included:

Transportation: To Kathgodam to Destintion and Back To Kathgodam

Safety Equipment: First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkies, etc.

Accommodation: Provided from Day 1 to the Last Day. Accommodation includes tents/homestays/lodges, Camp triple sharing accommodation and separate arrangements for girls/ladies.

Meals: All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast on the Last Day in Trekking. Food will be provided during the trek.

Permits/Forest Fees: Trekking permits and forest passes will be arranged.

Experienced Trek Leader & Team: Qualified trek leaders with basic/advanced mountaineering certifications, as well as support staff including cooks, helpers, and porters.

Excluded:

Food during Road Transit: Meals during transit from the pickup point to the trip starting point are not provided; trekkers must cover these costs themselves.

Mule and Porter Charges: Trekkers who opt to use mules or porters will incur an additional charge of Rs 350 per day.

Personal Expenses: Any personal expenses incurred during the trek are not covered.

Stay on the Last Day: The trek cost does not include accommodation on the last day.
