The Pindari Glacier Trek, nestled in the Kumaon Himalayas, unfolds over 9 kilometers, giving birth to the Pindar River that gracefully converges with the Alakananda at Karnaprayag. This 90 km round-trip expedition spans six days, leading adventurers through Saung, Loharkhet, Dhakuri Pass, Khati (the last inhabited village), Dwali, Phurkia, and culminating at the awe-inspiring Zero Point at an elevation of 12,370 feet. En route, trekkers traverse alongside the concealed Pindari River until Khati, unveiling stunning landscapes, serene lakes, and majestic snow-capped peaks, notably visible from the mesmerizing Dhakri Khal pass. An expedition blending tranquility and thrill, the Pindari Glacier Trek is renowned for its scenic beauty and serves as a hub for exhilarating activities like ice climbing and mountain biking.

Pindari Glacier Trek Itinerary:

Day 1: Loharkhet to Dhakuri Commence the trek from Loharkhet after morning tea and breakfast. Covering approximately 8 km in about 4 hours, the trail leads through an enchanting landscape. Enjoy the scenic beauty, including glimpses of Trishul, Devtoli, Maiktoli, and Nandakhat peaks. The trek meanders through an evergreen oak forest, meadows, and rhododendron forests, culminating in the fairy-tale village of Dhakuri. Night stay in Dhakuri.

Day 2: Dhakuri to Khati After breakfast in Dhakuri, embark on a 9 km trek taking around 5 hours. The route passes through quaint mountain villages, with Khati being the largest and last village on the Pindari Glacier and Kafni Glacier trek routes. Nestled on the banks of Pindar Ganga River, Khati provides a tranquil setting for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Khati to Dwali Covering an 11-km stretch in about 7 hours, this day's trek offers panoramic views of forests, streams, and lush green meadows. The campsite at Khati provides an evening to savor the beauty of Kafni and Pindari valleys. Overnight stay in Khati.

Day 4: Dwali to Phurkiya A 5 km trek, taking around 3 hours, leads from Dwali to Phurkiya after breakfast. Traverse through a frozen river and witness snow-topped mountains. Overnight stay at the scenic Phurkiya campsite.

Day 5: Phurkiya to Pindari Glacier and Back Embark on an early trek to the Pindari Glacier, covering approximately 14 km. Revel in stunning views of Mt Baljuri and Mt Panwali Dwar on the way. Explore the Zero Point, capturing the majestic expanse of the glacier. Visit the Pindari Baba Ashram and trek back to Phurkiya for lunch. Later, return to Dwali (5 km trek) for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Dwali to Dhakuri After breakfast at Dwali, proceed to Khati (11 km trek). Lunch at Khati, followed by a trek to Dhakuri (8 km). Enjoy evening tea, dinner, and a night stay in Dhakuri.

Day 7: Dhakuri to Loharkhet Post breakfast at Dhakuri, trek to Loharkhet (9 km). Lunch, evening tea, dinner, and overnight stay at Loharkhet. The next day, after breakfast at Loharkhet, the group will trek to Song (4 km), concluding the tour.

Included:

Transportation: To Kathgodam to Destintion and Back To Kathgodam

Safety Equipment: First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkies, etc.

Accommodation: Provided from Day 1 to the Last Day. Accommodation includes tents/homestays/lodges, Camp triple sharing accommodation and separate arrangements for girls/ladies.

Meals: All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast on the Last Day in Trekking. Food will be provided during the trek.

Permits/Forest Fees: Trekking permits and forest passes will be arranged.

Experienced Trek Leader & Team: Qualified trek leaders with basic/advanced mountaineering certifications, as well as support staff including cooks, helpers, and porters.

Excluded:

Food during Road Transit: Meals during transit from the pickup point to the trip starting point are not provided; trekkers must cover these costs themselves.

Mule and Porter Charges: Trekkers who opt to use mules or porters will incur an additional charge of Rs 350 per day.

Personal Expenses: Any personal expenses incurred during the trek are not covered.

Stay on the Last Day: The trek cost does not include accommodation on the last day.
