Day 1: Journey from Kathgodam to Lohajung (213 km/ 9-10 hours)

Commence the Roopkund Lake trek with a scenic drive from Kathgodam to Lohajung, a quaint village in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Covering a distance of 213 kilometers, the road journey unfolds breathtaking views of the Himalayan landscape, passing through Almora, Kausani, and Baijnath. Lohajung serves as the trek's base camp, marking the starting point of this exhilarating adventure.

Day 2: Lohajung to Didna Village (10 km/ 5-6 hours)

Embark on a 10 km trek from Lohajung to Didna Village on Day 2, weaving through oak, rhododendron, and maple forests. This gradual ascent, gaining an altitude of approximately 700 meters, offers scenic beauty. Didna Village, perched at 7,800 feet, provides a charming overnight stay in tents or homestays.

Day 3: Didna Village to Ali Bugyal (12 km/ 6-7 hours)

Traverse from Didna Village to Ali Bugyal through lush meadows and dense forests on this picturesque 12 km trek. The path unfolds stunning views, with a break at Tolpani, before reaching the breathtaking meadows of Ali Bugyal. Set up camp amidst the panoramic beauty for an enchanting night.

Day 4: Ali Bugyal to Ghora Lotani (11 km/ 5-6 hours)

Experience an intriguing trek from Ali Bugyal to Ghora Lotani, covering 11 km in approximately 5-6 hours. The trail descends through a forested landscape, offering occasional clearings with views of Trishul and Nanda Ghunti peaks. After crossing Bedni River, settle into the campsite at Ghora Lotani surrounded by towering peaks.

Day 5: Ghora Lotani to Bhagwabasa (14 km/ 7-8 hours)

Embark on a challenging journey from Ghora Lotani to Bhagwabasa, covering approximately 14 km. The trail includes a steep climb through rhododendron and oak forests, reaching the high-altitude grasslands of Bedni Bugyal. Revel in the stunning views and camp amidst the captivating beauty.

Day 6: Bhagwabasa to Roopkund Lake (5 km/ 3-4 hours)

On this challenging day, trek from Bhagwabasa to the captivating Roopkund Lake. Covering around 5 km in 3-4 hours, the steep climb unveils views of Trishul and Nanda Ghunti peaks. Witness the glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks, known for its mysterious skeletal remains. Return to Bhagwabasa for a restful night.

Day 7: Roopkund Lake to Bedni Bugyal (12 km/ 6-7 hours)

After immersing in the allure of Roopkund Lake, descend to Bedni Bugyal. The trail winds through steep and rocky terrain, offering panoramic views of Trishul and Nanda Ghunti peaks. Camp in the meadows of Bedni Bugyal, surrounded by alpine flowers and serene landscapes.

Day 8: Bedni Bugyal to Lohajung (10 km/ 4-5 hours)

Trek down to the Neel Ganga river, cross it, and continue through rhododendron and oak forests. Pass the village of Wan before a short drive to Lohajung, where the night is spent in a guesthouse.

Day 9: Drive from Lohajung to Kathgodam (213 km/ 9-10 hours)

Conclude the adventure with a drive back to Kathgodam, the nearest railway station. Optional overnight stay in Kathgodam.

Transportation: To Kathgodam to Destintion and Back To Kathgodam

Safety Equipment: First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkies, etc.

Accommodation: Provided from Day 1 to the Last Day. Accommodation includes tents/homestays/lodges, Camp triple sharing accommodation and separate arrangements for girls/ladies.

Meals: All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast on the Last Day in Trekking. Food will be provided during the trek.

Permits/Forest Fees: Trekking permits and forest passes will be arranged.

Experienced Trek Leader & Team: Qualified trek leaders with basic/advanced mountaineering certifications, as well as support staff including cooks, helpers, and porters.

Excluded:

Food during Road Transit: Meals during transit from the pickup point to the trip starting point are not provided; trekkers must cover these costs themselves.

Mule and Porter Charges: Trekkers who opt to use mules or porters will incur an additional charge of Rs 350 per day.

Personal Expenses: Any personal expenses incurred during the trek are not covered.

Stay on the Last Day: The trek cost does not include accommodation on the last day.
